Opus Colibri

OPUS® COLIBRI EYE LIFT

Opus® Colibri uses the same incredible Opus® Plasma technology, but with a bonus pinpointed laser treatment performed in our office to target delicate and hard-to-reach parts of the face.

This powerful laser ablates each of the targeted spots, smoothing fine lines and tightening the skin. Radiofrequency energy is used in conjunction with the plasma laser to boost the collagen below the surface, creating a tighter and smoother skin appearance.

We highly recommend this treatment for patients who are looking for an eyelid lift, but do not want to undergo surgery.

COLIBRI TREATMENT BASICS

How long does this treatment take?

The timing for this procedure is variable depending on the number of areas being treated. You can expect to spend approximately 30 minutes numbing prior to the procedure, followed by 20-30 minutes of treatment time.

How long is the recovery process?

Redness and swelling are normal following any treatment like this, but recovery will vary from patient to patient depending on the intensity of their individual treatment.

The swelling will reach its peak around 3 days and should significantly subside beyond that. The discoloration of the treatment areas stays for a little longer, but can be covered with makeup after the first 48 hours.

Avoid exercise or strenuous activity to prevent any perspiration from irritating the skin.

What should I expect following an Opus® Colibri Treatment?

The treatment areas may be sensitive, itchy or slightly sore following treatment. Expect some swelling and small scabbing around the treatment areas the first week.

When Can I Begin Wearing Makeup?

You may begin wearing makeup 48 hours following the procedure once the skin has established a healing barrier over the treated areas.

When Can I Return to Work?

Patients can typically return to work within 72 hours, but depending on skin type and the strength of the treatment that timing may extend to 5-6 days.

Important Information about Sun Exposure

Avoid any sun exposure for 2 weeks. Unprotected sun exposure during the first 6 months can cause the skin to darken (hyperpigment). After the skin has completely healed it is incredibly important to wear a hat and SPF of 30 or greater. Absolutely no sunbathing during the first six months after your treatment.
