Jordan Hollsten, MD FACS

Dr. Jordan Hollsten is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon treating insurance, private pay, and cosmetic patients for reconstructive, revisional, and trauma eye surgeries in South Central Texas and surrounding regions.

Currently Dr. Jordan splits her time as an Oculoplastic Surgeon in both private practice and at the Ophthalmology Clinic at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. She works actively as a mentor and teacher for the Ophthalmology Residents at UT Health San Antonio.

She knew at a very young age that she wanted to practice medicine. Throughout high school she spent her spare time on the weekends working as a receptionist in her her father’s medical office, at swim practice, or competing in swim meets.

After graduating from Churchill High School in San Antonio, Dr. Jordan attended Rice University as a Division I scholarship competitive swimmer, earning her BA in English in 2003.

Throughout her years of training, Dr. Jordan participated in numerous other medical projects and passions including setting up and coordinating the first International Ophthalmology Medical Conference at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and working in breast cancer research at South Texas Oncology & Hematology (now the START Center).

She continues to improve her Spanish fluency by regularly working with non-English speaking patients from South Texas and Mexico. Like her father, Dr. Jordan believes in working closely with her patients one-on-one, discussing treatment options with them to address their individual reconstructive and aesthetic goals.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Jordan loves working in her garden, writing, and reading voraciously. Above all else, her favorite thing is to travel; bonus if it allows her to spend more time with her family, friends, and goldendoodles, Frankie & Ozzie.
